Welcome
Welcome to my personal website. I currently work at UWS (Paisley) as a note-taker, and with TuDocs Ltd on computer games research. Despite these activities, my interest in environmental science remains undiminished.
Within the UK, the environmental issues at stake have changed significantly over the past decade. Gone are the days of black belching smoke from chimneys and raw sewage pouring into British rivers. However, our battle against environmental damage is far from over. We are still addicted to oil. We love our cars. The majority of our waste still goes to landfill. Our ever-increasing usage of computer equipment is placing pressure on natural resources. Our huge power plants are rapidly aging. We don’t know all the risks posed by our nuclear power plants, and have scant knowledge about the success of carbon-capture from coal-fired power plants. There is strong opposition to covering the land with wind farms, and various problems with using non-petrol/diesel vehicles need to be addressed. Despite a diminished effort to reduce environmental damage during this time of recession, many environmental issues warrant our attention.

Scientific database is on its way…
This website will eventually become a Wikipedia of environmental science. Over the next few weeks I will be posting information on the issues and analysis of major pollutants and other environmental indicators.
To date, I have provided information on chemical indicators (e.g. alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, pH) – click here to see for yourself. Stay tuned…
